Refund & Deposit Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund & Deposit Policy outlines the terms under which Khushi Motors accepts deposits, booking fees, and payments, and the conditions under which refunds may be granted.

By making any payment to Khushi Motors, you agree to this policy.

2. Vehicle Reservation Deposits

To reserve a vehicle, customers may be required to pay a deposit.

A vehicle is considered reserved only after:

• The agreed deposit amount has been received, and
• Khushi Motors has confirmed receipt in writing (email or official message).

Until deposit confirmation, the vehicle remains available for sale.

3. Refund Eligibility – Standard Stock Vehicles

For vehicles that are physically available in stock at a Khushi Motors branch:

A. Refundable Deposits

A deposit may be refundable if:

• The cancellation request is made within the agreed reservation period;
• No purchase agreement has been signed;
• The vehicle has not been transferred, registered, or prepared for delivery;
• No additional customization or modifications were made.

B. Non-Refundable Deposits

Deposits may be non-refundable if:

• The customer cancels after the agreed reservation period;
• The vehicle has been prepared for delivery or registration;
• Special requests or modifications were completed;
• The cancellation is due to financing rejection not caused by Khushi Motors (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

Refund decisions remain at the reasonable discretion of Khushi Motors unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Special Orders & Imported Vehicles

For vehicles that are:

• Special-order units
• Imported on customer request
• Purchased specifically for a customer

Deposits are generally non-refundable, as these vehicles are sourced specifically upon customer commitment.

Exceptions may apply only if agreed in writing.

5. Full Payments

Once full payment has been made and:

• Ownership has been transferred;
• Registration has been processed; or
• Delivery has been completed;

The sale is considered final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

6. Financing-Related Cancellations

If a vehicle is reserved pending financing approval:

• Customers remain responsible for confirming financing eligibility before placing a deposit.
• Financing rejection does not automatically qualify for a refund unless explicitly agreed in writing.

7. Processing of Refunds

Where a refund is approved:

• Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed.
• Bank transfer refunds may take 7–21 business days depending on financial institutions.
• Bank fees and transaction charges may be deducted where applicable.

Khushi Motors is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment providers.

8. Currency and Exchange Rate Differences

If payments are made in foreign currency:

• Refunds will be issued in the original currency received.
• Khushi Motors is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or losses caused by currency conversion.

9. Administrative Fees

Khushi Motors reserves the right to deduct reasonable administrative costs incurred prior to cancellation, including but not limited to:

• Inspection fees
• Registration processing
• Transport arrangements
• Documentation costs

10. Fraud Prevention

Khushi Motors reserves the right to:

• Refuse suspicious refund requests;
• Investigate chargebacks;
• Provide documentation to financial institutions in dispute cases.

Fraudulent disputes may result in legal action.

11. Branch-Specific Variations

Refund practices may vary slightly depending on local regulations in:

• Kenya
• Uganda
• Tanzania

Customers are encouraged to confirm specific branch policies before making payment.
