Toyota questions for Tanzania buyers
Short answers about importing, financing, prices and choosing the right Toyota.
Choose a car with auction grade 4 or higher and ask for the original auction sheet and a QISJ or JEVIC certificate. After it reaches Dar es Salaam port, TBS inspects it and you pay TRA taxes. Khushi Motors handles all of this for you.
Many Tanzanian banks give car loans with a first deposit and monthly payments. Our team can tell you which lenders work with us and what documents you need.
Toyota IST, Vitz and Raum are top picks for town driving. Families choose Noah, Voxy and Alphard while Prado, Land Cruiser and Hilux are the favourites for rough roads and work.
A 1.5 litre Corolla Axio or Fielder gives about 14 to 17 km per litre and a hybrid gives 20 km or more. A Premio or Allion gives about 12 to 14 km and a Camry about 10 to 12 km. These are real road estimates and not official tests.
